Today is a step in the right direction for schools in Virginia as they join the nationwide effort to prevent bullying. The Virginia Department of Education, as well as a handful of organizations are sponsoring Bullying Prevention in the Promotion of a Positive School Climate, a day long conference in which speakers from universities throughout the nation will be educating some 500 school officials on the causes, threats, and prevention techniques of bullying.
