Meet the Cast!

Jordan Swisher (Eric) is a New York City-based writer and actor.  In New York he’s been seen in several shows including Killing TimeHudson to China, and MacChin.  He studied Theatre and English at Messiah College in Pennsylvania and attended the National Theatre Institute in Waterford, CT. Jordan also writes comics.  You can check out his latest comic online!  Or take a look at some clips from a musical Jordan wrote called Traffic Jam.  He hopes you enjoy the show and learn a little something along the way.

Cody Magouirk (Griffin) emerged in NYC from deep in the heart of Texas about one year ago.  While studying at The University of North Carolina in Asheville, he worked with several theatrical groups, including The Enigmatic Theatre Company, Black Swan, Asheville Vaudeville and Harrow Beauty Pictures.  He has recently found a home with a New York-based company, Silent Street Productions, where he made his NYC directing debut with Neil Labute’s Autobahn and is now the Production Manager of Silent Street Theatre Lab.  Some of his favorite roles have been Bobby Strong (Urinetown), Leading Player (Pippin), Hamlet, Orin “The Dentist” Scrivello (Little Shop of Horrors) and Iago (Othello).

Ariel Rosen-Brown (Mary) is thrilled to be working with Concrete Temple Theatre on The Bystander Project. She recently appeared as Betty in Arthur Miller’s The Crucible with Sink or Swim Rep. Past Credits include Amanda in The Glass Menagerie, Calaih in Sisters of the Winter Madrigal and Maureen in Rent. Ariel studied drama at the Atlantic Acting School and Circle in the Square Theatre School. She has a B.A. in Psychology from McGill University. Check out some resources on the site!

Richard Altmanshofer (Hallenback) spent his summer praising the Lord through funk and rhyme as Mark in Altar Boyz at the Cultural Arts Playhouse in Long Island.  In May he was seen in the film Haiku in Brooklyn at the Cannes Short Film Corner. Other credits include Donnie in the New York premier of Donnie and the Monsters, produced by the Horse Trade Theatre Group, The 25th Annual…Spelling Bee (Secret Theatre), Candide (New York City Opera), Almost, Maine (LP Players), and national tours of My One and Only, and A Christmas Carol

Brandon Morrissey (Cody) is an actor, writer and director jumping between Los Angeles and New York in recent years.  He can be seen in films like American Dreamz (Universal) and Exodus Fall (Brainstorm Production).  Other recent projects include the Vimeo web-series Planet X and stage roles in Macbeth, Richard iii, Almost, Maine and Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead.   Brandon also wrote and directed the science fiction film The Waystation in the Stars (featuring the talent of Bystander Project actors Richard and Ariel) which heads for festivals in 2013.

Ashley Andrews (Chantel) is an actress, writer, and director, from Long Island.  She is elated to be working with Concrete Temple Theatre as an Associate.  She began her journey with Concrete Temple Theatre working on the magical 2010 production of The Bird Machine. She loves the staff and fell in love with the production. She began working as Assistant Stage Manager and Production Assistant. Recently she completed the first year of her MFA in acting from NYFA and was selected to be a part of the NYFA ensemble. Ashley graduated from Adelphi University in 2008, Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Phillip J. Lewis (Drew), a New Jersey native of Liberian descent, started performing at the age of 13 singing in his school’s choir and participating in high school clubs and musicals. At 16 he booked his first professional job inSeussical the Musical at the Connelly Theater in New York. His acting career took off from there. Phillip performed in numerous off-broadway, and regional shows until he was 19 when he booked the role of Tinman in the National Tour of The Wizard of Oz.
