Coming up: THE BYSTANDER PROJECT at Taconic Hills Middle School
Posted: February 20, 2013 in UncategorizedWe are so excited to share news about our successful performance for the New York Public Libraries! On February 12th, we played to an enthusiastic crowd of young adults at the Bronx Library Center! The theatre was smaller than what we were used to, so we had to adjust the show some, but we are happy to report that things looked great and the audience was incredible responsive.
Concrete Temple outreach director Amy Rose Marsh and BYSTANDER actor Ashley Monet led a talkback right after the show, using information provided by the PACER Center. Photos below:
We had a wonderful time bringing the show to Hudson, NY for a second time! Thanks to the students at Montgomery C. Smith Intermediate School for their talent, insight, hospitality, and creativity; you were all a pleasure to work with!
We also would love to share with you some exciting new rehearsal pics! They’re below!
We are excited to share a few photos from last week’s awesome performance at Ichabod Crane Intermediate School! We had a great time sharing the stage with 43 talented and enthusiastic students; thank you to all who participated! We also worked with many of the schools students on some great workshops; it was a wonderful experience and we were grateful to be able to share.
Enjoy the Photos!
We caught this online and we’re blown away by this comprehensive response to bullying! Parents: it starts with you!
New Cyberbullying Law Signed in New York

While the law will not be enacted until 2013, it is definitely a large leap in the right direction!

While The Bystander Project focuses on bullying at a young age, many forget that the issue doesn’t pertain to youth alone. In this wonderful article, August Schulenburg gives some advice to those living outside of the classroom on how to properly handle a conflict, be it online or in person.
